Project – Sound Landscape and intangible Territories
Sound, oral traditions, acoustic environments and sonic memories comprise the intangible cultural heritage acknowledged by the UNESCO as the element that provides differentiation between cultures.
The aim of the Project is to broaden the capacity to perceive and capture the reality of sound environments as the sonorous expression of a society.
Intangible territories alludes to non-audible or difficult to hear sounds: resonance, vibrations and electromagnetic waves. Scientific tools and methods are used to attain the desired enhanced perceptions, applied to creative concepts and strategies characteristic of contemporary art.
